Updated September 25, 2026. Orchid care app for iPhone and iPad, operated by Floraflor, Chile. Contact: ingo@floraflor.cl. The iCloud features below apply to version 1.0.1 and later; version 1.0 stores its garden locally.

No FloraFlor account

The app has no registration, profiles or community. It does not ask for your name, email or password. iCloud uses the Apple account already configured on your device; FloraFlor does not receive its password.

Your garden and iCloud

Plants, notes, photos saved in your garden and journal, care history, reminders, favorites, selected language and hemisphere are stored on your device. With sync enabled, CloudKit also stores them in your private iCloud database. They are not published or shared with other users. We do not operate our own garden database and cannot access your private database through Apple's developer portal.

Sync is initially enabled and can be turned off in Settings → iCloud. It requires an available iCloud account, a connection and sufficient space in your iCloud storage quota. If unavailable, the local garden continues working. The app shows sync status and the last completed sync. Apple's terms and privacy policies govern iCloud.

To avoid mixing gardens when Apple accounts change, the app stores an opaque account identifier locally and pauses sync when a different account is detected. We do not use this for advertising or tracking.

Deletion and export

Settings → My data lets you export your garden as JSON or erase it. JSON contains records, preferences and photo references, not image files. With iCloud enabled, deletions of known records sync to your other devices when connected. With sync disabled, the remote copy remains until sync is enabled again. Do not uninstall before a pending deletion syncs if you want it to reach iCloud.

Sync propagates edits and deletions; it is not a version archive. Content-free deletion markers are retained to prevent an offline device from restoring deleted records. You can manage iCloud storage in Apple settings. Device backups depend on your Apple settings.

Recognition, catalog and permissions

Recognition photos are processed on-device using the bundled model. They are not sent for recognition or used to train models. If you choose to save a photo in your garden or journal, that copy syncs when iCloud is enabled. Catalog text and photos are bundled. We use no external AI services, analytics, advertising or cross-app tracking.

Camera and selected photos support recognition, approximate light measurement and the journal. Care notifications are optional. Apple may deliver silent notifications to update the garden. The widget reads a local care snapshot and does not directly access CloudKit.

Links, support and earlier versions

Privacy, credit and support links open only when chosen and are governed by the destination's policies. If you email support, we use your submitted information to respond.

Earlier test versions could offer Supabase accounts and community features. This version does not access those records or restore old sessions. Removing app access does not automatically erase previous data. For access, correction or deletion, contact ingo@floraflor.cl; ownership may be verified. Technical records are retained only as necessary for security, recovery or applicable obligations.
